We have bedding!

I finally decided on bedding. There was once I liked a little better, but it was discontinued. It should take 6-8 weeks to get here. I can't wait to start on the nursery in our new house, since
we are offically homeowners again! We went over this weekend and Jonathan changed the locks and a few other things while I cleaned a little. We are planning on doing a little work on the house the next few weeks and then we are going to move in. Pictures to come!

22 Weeks

I found this cute idea for a blog and plan to keep it up until Jon David arrives!
How far along?: 22 weeks
Total weight gain?: 6 lbs even though it looks like more (after our Outback Valentine's Day lunch)
Symtoms?: Heartburn and weird sinus problems
How big is baby?: 1 pound, the size of a papaya
Sex:? BOY
Maternity clothes?: For about 2 weeks now. I can still wear my jeans (buttoned) but who wants to be uncomfortable?
Strech marks?: None yet
Sleep?: I sleep very sound but get up 5-6 times either thirsty or to pee.
Energy?: MUCH better! I am starting to get out of breath easily.
Excercise?: I get good workouts on the days I work, but hopefully after we move to the new house (which we close on TODAY) we can start walking the dogs at night. It is the PERFECT subdivision to walk in!
Movement?: He moves in the morning and at night when I am super still.
Food cravings?: Sonic Route 44 Strawberry Limeaid (with extra Strawberries!)
What I'm looking forward to:? Registering
Preparations:? Started Blog! Plan to start reading a few books next week. I had a dream the baby was born and I didn't know how to do anything since I hadn't read my books.
Best Moment this week:? Jonathan got to feel the baby move. Also, I had the best Valentine's Day I can remember. We went to LifeGroup and someone brought heart-shaped biscuits on a morning I was starving. Then with our 2nd grade girls we made chocolate dipped marshmellows with sprinkles and had a lesson on intentionally being kind. You should have seen them the rest of the class saying the nicest things to one another! We had a great lunch at Outback. Then I had a LONG nap! We went to Hard Knox Pizza for dinner which was great, and then to a Drive By Trucker concert which was good, but the entertainment was WAY better! A drunk lady told me my baby would LOVE me for it.

Lastly, I wanted to give an update from my last post: I had to go back to the doctor the next day to see my doctor since I just saw the ultrasound tech the day before. I was the 3rd person there and waited 2 HOURS. I think he felt a little sorry for me, so he did another ultrasound himself for like 15 minutes and Jon David was moving around like crazy...so straight from the doctor's mouth IT'S A BOY! Isn't the Lord so sweet to give us unexpected blessings!

A Special Day

Today I had an ultrasound on the agenda. Jonathan, Mom, and Annissa have all gotten to see our sweet baby and hear its heartbeat, but dad hasn't been able to yet. Jonathan wasn't able to get off to go with me today, so Dad and I made an afternoon of it. We started off with lunch at Mrs. Goodstuff's Cafe. Jonathan and I live 2 streets over from Mrs. Goodstuff's when it first opened. Since then then they have reopened down the road from St. Mary's. They have a daily hot lunch special, soups, sandwiches, and the best homeade desserts you have ever put in your mouth!
After lunch we headed up the hill to Dr. Fields' office. This would now be my 2nd ultrasound at my OB, and for the 2nd time my sweet little baby boy would not "show" himself. He was laying indian style as tightly as he could be. I think the hot lunch put him to sleep. He moved ALL morning and I drank caffine with my lunch, but he was fast asleep! As soon as we got in the car he started kicking again. I called Jonathan to let him know how his little man had behaved and joked that he was stubborn like his daddy, to which he "replyed he moves around when I'm there." Hopfully next time at a little earlier appointment and his daddy right beside us he will "put on a show" and the ultrasound tech will officially say it's a boy.
Although my OB still isn't 100% the sex. We are very sure from the 17 week ultrasound at mom's office that it is a boy. I had to call mom again today after my appointment, so she could reassure me IT IS A BOY!
Even though today wasn't a total success, it was a very special day. It was very sweet to get to see dad get to hear the heartbeat for the first time, to see Jon David's sweet little self, and a great afternoon with my dad.

Snow Day Fun

On Friday, January 29 we spent the night at Art and Wendi's house...hoping to get "snowed in."What a sweet baby to wake up to! I got some good morning snuggles from 2 of my favorite little boys!
We were so happy to wake up to so much snow! I know I took way too many pictures, but it was so hard not to with these beautiful snow bunnies!

Adie Rose LOVED the snow. She would have played in it all day! It was so fun to watch her experience her first real snow!

My sweet husband played in the snow ALL day! He hooked up the sled to the 4-wheeler and the kids took turns riding around. He also took a couple trips by himself to find places to do doughnuts!

No hands!!!
I finally learned what the "Pants on the Ground" fuss was about. I really wish I had this on video!
Sweet Asher boy didn't go out in the snow, but it was so sweet to see him jump in his jumper with the snow falling behind him! He could not be sweeter!
When the kids came in for a break we made some snowcream. My momma always made it with Sugar and milk, but I went with the Paula Dean recipe. 12 cups of snow, 1 14oz. can sweetened condensed milk, and 1 tsp. vanilla and boy way it yummy.
I know this is not the most beautiful picture, but I was offically 20 weeks (HALFWAY) on Saturday. It is so hard to believe time is starting to go by so fast. Last night Mom and I watched the Duggars' 19th child enter the world at 24 weeks. As tiny as she was, I could not believe that in just a few weeks Jon David would be that size. It is so neat to see the Lord in pregnancy. It is amazing to see how he makes our bodies to carry a baby and to see how the baby forms and develops. We serve a mighty creator. Lord, thank you for the snow, for showing yourself mighty in your creation, and for Jon David. 20 weeks down, 20 to go!
